Love

 Love is a mirage,

True or false! Those savage dew drops;

Young and old, in every age

Involve, frustrate, exasperate;

Walk the desert or run to catch

So desperate; you slither!

Just watching a sandstorm in a wine glass,

Sip it to choke? You wither!

Love is a bane,

Wear on your face, sleeve or neck;

Feels good? Looks good? What the heck?

Walks through you, burns you in hell;

Anyways, “All's well that ends well!”

Absent where most wanted,

Else scattered so unwanted!

Body or soul? Where do you cache?

Love is a boon,

Multiple rainbows! Smiling eyebrows!

Fulfilled? Need nothing?

Musical rains, crickets sing!

Glass with nectar;

Half empty or half filled? Why care!

On a beach, under the sun, lie bare;

Hold the hands of the watch, it’s so rare!

Love is a fluke,

Didn’t happen, yearned so long;

Spur-of-the-moment thing!

Got it! I was wrong.

Not everyone’s cup of tea;

You have lion’s share. Me, not a pea!

It’s life dude, hang in there!

Wait and watch for your share.
